Yuexiu Park

Built in 1952, Yuexiu Park is the biggest park in Guangzhou. Its name is after Yuexiu Mountain。 Yuexiu Park is a perfect combination of cultural relics and ecological tourism.

Yuexiu Park is made up of three artificial lakes, known as Beixiu, Nanxiu, and Dongxiu, and extends out seven small hills, including Yuejing, Guihua, Muke, and Liyu. Here you can enjoy the verdant grass, trees and flowers and hear the songs of birds all the year round.

With much beautiful natural scenery, travelers can spend hours exploring its paths, dotted with elaborately engraved, Linnan-style pavilions, platforms and towers, and stop to relax beside the rippling waters of the three lakes. Its grand flower exhibition in spring and autumn each year attracts millions of tourists.

Besides the splendid natural scenery in Yuexiu Park, there are many famous places of interest from different historical periods successfully decorating the park, such as the well-known "Statue of the Five Goats", Zhenhai Tower, the site of the Ming Dynasty City Wall, Zhongshan Monument and Sifang Emplacement.

As a large comprehensive sight-seeing park, Yuexiu Park provides an amusement park, swimming pool, gymnasium, restaurants, stalls and museum besides the viewing area. It is really an ideal tourist site for travelers.
