The Six Harmonies Pagoda lies in Yuelun Hill on the north bank of the Qiantang River in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The pagoda was first built in 970 AD by the King of Wuyue State, who intended to demonstrate his authority by conquering the evil of the river tidal bore of the Qiantang River. The pagoda fell into ruins and went through reconstruction many times before being listed as one of the key national cultural heritages in 1961. View Photos
The West Lake Scenic Area Covers an area of 60 square kilometers, out of which the West Lake occupies 5.6 square kilometers with 3.3 kilometers from north to south and 2.8 kilometers from west to east. The average depth is 2.27 meters with the deepest being 5 meters. Three sides of the lake are surrounded by verdant mountains and one side of it is properous city. The Fei Lai Feng directly faces Ling Yin Temple. Isolated from others, its stone quality is totally different from that of surrounding mountain group. It is 167 meters high, on the peak of which there are many grotesque stones in the shapes of charming dragon, prostrate tiger, walking elephant and scared ape. The colour of the stones is also queer, green touched with purple, shining and slippery to the full tastes of visitors. View Photos
