Zhejiang cuisine is one of the Eight Great Cuisines of China, including Hangzhou flavor, Ningbo flavor and Shaoxing flavor. Hangzhou cuisine is the representative of Zhejiang cuisine. Hangzhou cuisine is currently one of the most popular and fashionable styles of cooking throughout China and especially in neighboring Shanghai. It emphasizes fresh, sweet flavors and makes good use of freshwater fish, especially eel and carp; frequently involves cooked meats and vegetables in combination. A delicately seasoned, light-tasting mix of seafood and vegetables often served in soup. The common materials used in the dishes are fish, shrimp, ham, bamboo shoot, lotus root, tea leaves, snow vegetable, the skin of soybean milk, etc.
The local specialties include Beggar's chicken (an entire chicken cooked in a ball of mud), West Lake fish (vinegar coated fish from the lake) and braised pork and stewed shelled shrimp cooked in Longjing tea.
There are some good restaurants in Hangzhou serving up this cuisine in nice settings and with style. Perhaps the best place is the Louwailou restaurant on Solitary Island at the heart of West Lake. You can not only taste the superb Hangzhou cuisine, but also enjoy the awe-inspiring sight of West Lake. Zhiweiguan Restaurant on Renhe Road is another restaurant, which is now the biggest and the most modern one in Hangzhou. Here, and also, you can take a great view of the picturesque West Lake.

As the only super A-grade hot pot restaurant in Chongqing, it mainly deals in Hot Pot Buffet and is known as the "Chongqing famous hot pot" for its rich items, delicious flavor and elegant environment.

Located at the top story in the 108-meter-high 29-story Yudu Plaza in the commercial center of Jiefangbei, it is an ideal place to taste delicious food while enjoying a bird's eye view of the whole city.
