  Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone is composed of four separate theme parks. Nanshan Buddhism Culture Park is a window on Chinese traditional Buddhism culture; the Blessing and Longevity Park shines its light on an atmosphere of peace and harmony; the Nanhai Culture Customs Park highlights Chinese diverse social customs; and the Buddha Lustration Center includes the 108-metre-tall bronze statue of Buddha on the sea. • Tianya Haijiao  ( Tian Ya Hai Jiao ) »

  Situated at the foot of Xiamaling Mountain in Tianya Town, Tianya Haijiao is about 23 km from Sanya City. Leaning against the mountain at the rear and facing the sea in front, it has unique scenery rarely found anywhere else. Sitting on one of the rocks, you will see a boundless sea meeting the blue sky in the faraway horizontal. It seems that you are at the ends of the earth. Here the seawater and the sky share the same color, with mist-covered sea, sailing boats, coconut trees and grotesque stones together composing a gorgeous picture. The huge rocks engraved with tianya, haijiao, nantianyizhu (A Pillar Piercing into the Southern Sky) and haipannantian (The Sea Rising Against the Sky in the South) erect imposingly by the South China Sea, becoming the unique scenery only found in Hainan. • Wuzhizhou Island  »

  A mini paradise within a paradise, Wuzhizhou Island is located in the Haitang Bay, which is about 40 kilometers northeast of Sanya City. Wuzhizhou Island has a tropic maritime climate, warm and agreeable all the year round. Arbor trees are tall and straight, and shrubs luxuriantly green; silver beaches stretch long and unbroken; and mountains rise steeply. Clear and transparent sea water make it a natural fishery and a good place for undersea sightseeing. It is also one of the coastal areas where natural resources are best conserved. View Photos
