• Qinghai Lake

  The Liaoning Provincial Museum is located in Heping District of Shenyang City. The area of the Museum grounds and buildings totals 110,000 square meters. The heart of the Museum is a three-story exhibition hall that was designed by a German architect. In 1988, a new three-story white building was built inside the grounds that include a large hall and a surrounding corridor. View Photos

• Bird Island

  The Chinese like to say that if the Qinghai Lake were a crown on the head of the plateau, then the Bird Island (Niao dao) would be the largest pearl on it. The Bird Island is located at the northwestern corner of Qinghai Lake and the entrance of Buha River to the lake. It is a national level natural preservation area.

• Dongguan Mosque

  The Dongguan Mosque is one of the four largest mosques in northwest China and is the largest and most important mosque in the Qinghai Province. It is situated in Dongguan Street, Xining City.
