Guiyang is temperate and humid, and has a subtropical mild moist climate. The air is not too dry and there is no wind and sand in the whole year. The seasons are not particularly distinct. The average temperature of the year is about 15℃. The last ten days in July is the hottest with an average temperature of 24℃. The first ten days in January is the coldest with an average temperature of 4.6℃.
Rain falls throughout the year, with occasional flurries in winter. It is also one of China's least sunny cities.
