Located at the southeast part of Haikuo city, Wugong Temples is a complex of five traditional temples and halls, which include the Wugong Temple (Five Officials’ Temple), The Sugong Temple, Hairui and Fubo Temples, and Guanjia Tang (Watching Crop Hall) and Xuefu Tang (Studying Hall). The buildings were built during the reign of Emperor Wanli in the Ming Dynasty to commemorate the five well-known officials of the Tang and Song dynasties and were renovated on several occasions during the Qing Dynasty.
Located at Binya Village, Xiuying District, Haikou city, Hainan Province, the tomb of Hai Rui was first built in the 17th year of Emperor Wanli’s Reign during the Ming Dynasty. It was the burial ground of the Ming Dynasty upright official Hai Rui, today it has become a famous scenic spot in Haikou, Hainan Island.
Located on Wenzhuang Road in Qiongshan City, the Qiongtai Academy was first established in 1705 in memory of Qiu Jun, the most brilliant scholar in Hainan and a renowned academician in Ming Dynasty.
