Air

Because there is no airport in Leshan city until now, travelers can fly to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, which is 150 kilometers away from Leshan city, and then take a long-distance bus from New South Gate Bus Station to Leshan Central Bus Station. Leshan-Chengdu expressway links Leshan with Chengdu and other cities in Sichuan Province. It takes two hours from Leshan to Chengdu by bus.

Bus

Take bus to Leshan is really very convenient, due to there are three main long-distance bus stations in Leshan, the details of those bus stations are as follows:

Leshan Central Bus Station
Address: No.165 Jiading Road (Middle), Shizhong District, Leshan City
Getting there: Take bus No.6, 9 to arrive.
Destination: Chongqing, Meishan, Zigong, Jiuzhaigou, Luzhou, Mianyang, Ya'an, etc.

Leshan Port Sight-seeing Bus Station
Address: located in Leshan city center
Destination: New South Gate Bus Station (Chengdu), Mt. Emeishan, Shawan, etc.

Leshan Lianyun Bus Station (Chengbei Bus Station)
Address: located in the north of Leshan City
Getting there: Take bus No.1 to arrive.
Destination: Jianwei County, Luocheng Town, Ebian County, etc.

There are also some tourist bus routes: Leshan Central Bus Station - Shawan; Leshan Central Bus Station - Emeishan City; Leshan Port Sight-seeing Bus Station - Foguang Lake; Leshan Port Sight-seeing Bus Station - Bishan Lake; Leshan Port Sight-seeing Bus Station – Leshan Giant Buddha - Wuyou Temple. 

Boat

Leshan is one of the important ports on the Minjiang River. Every day, there are passenger ships to Yibin, Chongqing, and other ports. Tourists can also enjoy the wonderful scenery along the trip. There are also frequent ferries from Leshan Port to Leshan Giant Buddha and Wuyou Temple.

Train

Athough there is no railway station in Leshan city, Emeishan Railway Station is one of the important railway stations, which is about 29 kilometers to Leshan city center. Passengers can embark to numerous places from here.

Bicycle

Traveling by bicycle is very popular in Leshan. Tourists can rent a bicycle and ride around the city. It is great fun. And it is a good way to do some exercise after hard work. 

Taxi

Taxies can be found in the city very easily. Taxi drivers are always honest and patient to guide you to your destination. The taxi fare is RMB3 for the first 2 kilometers, and subsequent every kilometer costs RMB 0.7.
