Bacalhau, Portuguese name for cod, is a very popular fish in Portugal, as well as the most beloved Portuguese dishes in Macau. It is considered a delicacy! There are many ways to cook. It can be baked, grilled, stewed or boiled. In Macau, most of the restaurants offer this dish.

African Chicken

This flavorful Ethiopian-inspired chicken stew uses Berbere, an Ethiopian spice blend. Store extra spice mix covered in a cool, dark place for up to two weeks. Use leftovers on salmon, flank steak, or chicken for fiery flavor. Serve with basmati rice.

Vegetable Soup

This is a must-taste and enjoyable food in Macau. The Portuguese-style vegetable soup is a thick soup mixed with minced potatoes, sliced green vegetables, Portuguese sausages and olive oil. Almost all restaurants offer this soup.

Curry Crab

This is the most popular Macau food. It can be found in most of the restaurants.

Linguado Macau

They are fresh Macau soles which are fried and usually served with green salad together with cheese, shrimps and other seafood.

Egg Tart

Portugal Style Egg Tart, the most famous snack food in Macau, is favored by people for its simple ingredients but highly required baking skills. Egg tart, bedded with crumbly egg layer and covered with floppy yolk, is crisp, soft, fragrant and sweet.
