The Mausoleum of Dr.Sun Yat Sen is located in the Zhong Mountain Scenic Area in the east suburb of Nanjing City, Jiangsu province. As the mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the father of the Republic of China, it is considered the Holy land of Chinese people both home and abroad. The Confucius Temple, also called Fuzimiao in Chinese, It was originally constructed in the year of 1034 in the Song Dynasty. The Confucius Temple was a place to worship and consecrate Confucius, the great philosopher and educator of ancient China. This temple suffered repeated damage and has been rebuilt on several occasions since that time. 1937 was the most destruction when it was burnt to ruin by Japanese aggressors. In 1984 the temple was rebuilt under the support of the local government.
The Linggu Temple, the Linggu pagoda and the Beamless Hall are situated on the eastern side of PurpleMountain. This area can be reached by a shuttle bus from the Mausoleum but the nicest approach is to take one of the numerous paths into the woods that head east from the Mausoleum. Just follow the signs along the route and you will eventually arrive at the LingguPark containing a few interesting buildings. View Photos
