• Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses

  The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. In March 1974, some farmers happened to dig up what turned out to be a large-scale pit with terra-cotta soldiers and horses, belonging to the Emperor Qin Shi Huang, or the Founding Emperor of the Qin. Excavation of the vault revealed thousands of terra-cotta warriors and their horses, an entire army designed to follow its emperor into eternity. • Shannxi History Museum

  Shaanxi History Museum is situated in the southern suburb of Xian City, northwest of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It covers 65,000 square meters, with a building area of 60,000 square meters. The newly built modern building features Tang-dynasty architecture and successfully symbolizes the great extent of Shaanxi history and its remarkable culture. View Photos

  Huaqing Pool is located at the foot of Lishan Mountain, about 35 kilometers east of Xian city and enjoys quite favorable geographical location boasting green mountains and blue water. View Photos

• Big Wild Goose Pagoda

  TBig Wild Goose Pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a Buddhist pagoda located in southern Xi'an, Shaanxi province, China. Standing in the Da Ci’en Temple, it attracts numerous visitors for its fame in the Buddhist religion, its simple but appealing style of construction and its new square in front of the temple. • Bell Tower & Drum Tower

  The Bell Tower marks the geographical center of the ancient capital. It was built in 1384 by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang as a way to dominate the surrounding countryside and provide early warning of attack by rival rulers. The Drum Tower is located northwest of the Bell Tower . Both of them are called the 'sister buildings' or 'morning bell and dark drum'. View Photos
