Today you will have an unforgettable visit to the Forbidden City, the imperial palace of the Ming and the Qing Dynasty (1636 A.D - 1911 A.D) and one of the four great imperial palaces in the world, which illustrate to the best the imperial luxury, in both architectural styles and decorations. Then you can have a pleasant stroll at the Tiananmen Square, the largest man-made square in the world. Take the flight in the night to Xi’an, the oldest city in China.



Today you will visit the renowned Potala Palace situated on the Red Hill in Lhasa, means "the Sacred Palace of Buddhism" in Sanskrit. In 1994, the Potala Palace of Lhasa was put on the UNESCO's list of World Cultural Heritage. Then you can walk though the Barkhor Street, the most hustle and bustle street and famous circumambulation. In the centre of the street stands the Jokhang Temple, the first Buddhist temple in Tibet. It is also the Sacred Temple of all Tibetan Buddhists. All year-round many Tibetan Buddhists go on a pilgrimage to the Jokhang Temple, from all over Tibet and other provinces like Qinghai, Gansu and Inner Mongolia.

Today your schedule is arranged to visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the largest temple in the Shigatse area, which is listed as one of the six great temples of Sect Gelug. It was founded by the First Dailai Lama in 1447 and was expanded by the Fourth and successive Panchen Lamas. In the afternoon, go back to Lhasa by coach.
