After breakfast, you will go to the Drepung Monastery, together with Ganden and Sera Monastery, is the "great three" Gelukpa university monasteries of Tibet. Then visit NorbuLingka, known as "Summer Palace of Tibet". It is the biggest man-made garden in Tibet Autonomous Region and was listed in the World Heritage Site in 2001 as part of the "Historic Ensemble of the Potala Palace" by UNESCO. Today your schedule is arranged to visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the largest temple in the Shigatse area, which is listed as one of the six great temples of Sect Gelug. It was founded by the First Dailai Lama in 1447 and was expanded by the Fourth and successive Panchen Lamas. In the afternoon, go back to Lhasa by coach.
Qinghai-Tibet Railway
You will take the soft-sleeper train (a cabin with 4 beds) to Xi'an. It will cost you over 35 hours on the train. Enjoy the unique and beautiful landscapes on the way. The meals are excluded in the train. You can go to the dinning car yourself to order the meal. It usually costs about 9$ per person.
Arrive in Xi'an at night, a vital center of history, culture and archaeology. It is impossible to overstate Xi'an's importance in China's history. Here began the fabled Silk Road, here a string of dynasties made their capital, here a Neolithic culture built a village 6000 years ago, and here lies a highlight of your trip: the excavation site of 8000 terra-cotta soldiers and horses, buried around the tomb of emperor Qinshihuangdi, builder of the Great Wall and other massive endeavors. After breakfast, you will have a tour to the Little Wild Goose Pagoda Park which is one of two significant pagodas in the city of Xi'an, as well as the Xi’an Museum in the park. After lunch you will visit the Bell & Drum Tower Square, which is located between the famous Bell Tower and Drum Tower built in Ming Dynasty. Walk through Islamic street, where you can find almost everything from popular local snacks and food, crafts, antiques and souvenirs to some great restaurants. Then visit the Great Mosque, one of the most famous mosques in the world with the history over 1200 years. You can appreciate combination of the Chinese and Islamic temple and Chinese traditional furniture of Qing Dynasty.
Shanghai Bund
Fly to Shanghai, the largest and most cosmopolitan city, as modern as any other one in the world. You are greeted on arrival and escorted to your 4-star world-class hotel. Round out your tour with stops at Nanjing Road, the most famous shopping street in Shanghai and the riverfront Bund, where foreign traders left a legacy of European-style buildings.

In the morning, you will be guide to visit Yuyuan Garden and the Teahouse. Yuyuyan Garden is the most typical Chinese traditional garden built in 1709 in which you can appreciate quintessential Chinese zigzag bridges, rockeries, and pavilions. In the afternoon, you are arranged to visit the Shanghai Museum. It stores 120,000 precious artifacts, which narrate a story of China's 5,000-year civilization.
