Beijing - Luoyang - Xi'an - Wudangshan - Jinzhou - Zhangjiajie - Fenghuang (Phoenix) - Shanghai 16 Days

Day 01 Beijing (D)

Arrive in Beijing, the capital and cultural center of China, where virtually every boulevard and building exudes an air of importance. Our English-speaking guide will meet you in the airport and transfer on arrival to your 4-star hotel. Round out your tour with stops at the Yonghe Palace in the afternoon, the most renowned Tibetan Buddhist temple in China, outside Tibet itself. Stay in hotel 2 nights.

Day 02 Beijing (BLD)

Enjoy a full-day tour of the sights that make Beijing a spectacular destination: The Summer Palace, an oasis of tea gardens, pavilions, painted corridors, and shimmering Kunming Lake with Empress Dowager's eccentric marble boat. Badaling Great Wall, one of the world's most awe-inspiring sights, the great Wall snakes along nearly 4000 miles of impossibly steep hills and harsh, rugged plains. Today you will climb Badaling Great Wall in your leisure and marvel at the manpower that went into building the world's longest structure entirely by hand. Taste your imperial-style Peking Duck dinner before returning to hotel.

Day 03 Beijing - Luoyang (BLD)

Today you will enjoy the sprawling Forbidden City, home to 24 Ming and Qing emperors and now a repository of precious art and antiques, Tiananmen Square, the largest man-made square in the world, and Hutong Tour. You also go shopping in Wangfujing Street. Take overnight train to Luoyang.

Day 04 Luoyang (BLD)

Arrive in Luoyang in the morning, capital of 7 dynasties until the Northern Song dynasty moved its capital to Kaifeng in the 10th century AD. Today, it's hard to imagine that Luoyang was once the centre of the Chinese world and home to more than 1300 Buddhist temples. Our English-speaking guide will meet you at the platform of railway station and transfer to hotel. Round out your tour with stops at Shaolin Monastery, at the foot of Wuru Peak on the northern slope of Shaoshi Mountain was originally built in 495 during the Northern Wei Dynasty(368-534). It is known as the “most famous temple under heaven”, for it was here that , in 527, the Indian monk Bodhi Dharma( or Dharma) founded the Chan sect of Buddhism in China. Since Dharama was regarded as the ancestor of the Chan aect, the Shaolin Monastery was called Zuting - the Ancestor's home. Stay in 4-star hotel 1 night.

Day 05 Luoyang - Xi'an (BLD)

You have a visit in Luoyang; Dragon Gate Grottoes, located 12 Km south of Luoyang. The grottos are among the greatest treasure troves of ancient stone carving in China, together with Dunhuang in the north-west province of Gansu and Yungang in the Shanxi Province. Take train to Xi'an, a vital center of history, culture and archaeology. It is impossible to overstate Xi'an's importance in China's history. Here began the fabled Silk Road, here a string of dynasties made their capital, here a Neolithic culture built a village 6000 years ago, and here lies a highlight of your trip: the excavation site of 8000terra-cotta soldiers and horses, buried around the tomb of emperor Qinshihuangdi, builder of the Great Wall and other massive endeavors. Guide will meet you at the platform of railway station and transfer to your 4-star hotel. Stay in hotel 2 nights.

Day 06 Xi'an (BLD)

Round out your tour with stops at the Museum of Terre-Cotta Warriors and Horses of Qinshihuangdi, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built by pilgrim monk Xuanzang in the Tang Dynasty 1400 years ago and Park of City Wall of Ming Dynasty.

Day 07 Xi'an - Xiangfan (BLD)

This morning you have tour to the Great Mosque in the downtown, one of the most famous mosques in the country. You can appreciate combination of the Chinese and Islamic temple and Chinese traditional furniture of Qing Dynasty. Take overnight train to Xiangfan.

Day 08 Xiangfan - Wudangshan (BLD)

Embark on a coach to Wudangshan, you will visit Taizi Slope (Prince Slope), Zixiang Palace and Nanyang Palace. Stay in hotel 1 night.

 

 

Day 09 Wudangshan - Jinzhou (BLD)

Take cable car to visit Jingding (Gold Top), Jingdian (Gold Palace), Taihe Palace and Huangjing Hall. Embark on a coach to Jinzhou, stay in hotel 1 night.

Day 10 Jinzhou - Zhangjiajie (BLD)

Round out your tour with stops at Jinzhou Museum. Take bus to Zhangjiajie, parts of the Wuling shan mountains in north-western Hunan were set aside in 1982 as nature reserves collectively known as the Wulingyuanfengjingqu (Scenic Area ), ncompassing the locations of Zhangjiajie, Tianzishan and Suoxiyu. Zhangjiajie is the best known, and many Chinese refer to this area by that name.  Stay in 3-star hotel 3 nights.

Day 11 Zhangjiajie (BLD)

You will take cable car to visit Huangshizhai Valley, Six Strange Tower, Dinghaishenzhen and the Golden Whip Stream.

Day 12 Zhangjiajie (BLD)

Our English-speaking guide will show you around Mt.Tianzishan by cable car, Sightseeing Lift, Ten-mile art Gallery and water Surrounding Four Gates. Take bus back to Zhangjiajie.

Day 13 Zhangjiajie - Fenghuang(Phoenix) (BLD)

Drive to Fenghuang, visit Fenghuang old town, walking around stone paved streets, Chinese architectural houses and Tuo River cruise. Stay in hotel 1 night.

Day 14 Fenghuang - Zhangjiajie - Shanghai (BLD)

Take bus to Zhangjiajie, on the way you will visit local villages. Fly to Shanghai, the largest and most cosmopolitan city, as modern any in the world. Visit the riverfront Bund where foreign traders left a legacy of European-style buildings and Nanjing Road, the most famous shopping street in Shanghai. Stay in 4-star hotel 2 nights.

Day 15 Shanghai (BLD)

You have a full-day visit of Yuyuan Garden with its quintessential Chinese zigzag bridges, rockeries, and pavilions and the Jade Buddha Temple complete the day at a thrilling show by the Shanghai acrobatics.

Day 16 Shanghai - Hometown (B)
With new insights and found memories of China, you embark on your homebound journey aboard your select airline.

The trip price includes:
