Beijing - Datong - Hohhot - Baotou 9 Days

Day 01 Beijing (D)

Arrive in Beijing, the capital and cultural center of China, where virtually every boulevard and building exudes an air of importance. Transfer on arrival to your 4-star hotel. Round out your tour with stops at The Summer Palace, an oasis of tea gardens, pavilions, painted corridors, and shimmering Kunming Lake with Empress Dowager's eccentric marble boat. Stay in hotel 2 nights.

Day 02 Beijing (BLD)

Today you will enjoy the sprawling Forbidden City, home to 24 Ming and Qing emperors and now a repository of precious art and antiques; Tiananmen Square, the largest man-made square in the world and the Temple of Heaven.

Day 03 Beijing - Datong (BLD)

Embark on a coach to Datong, on the way you will visit Badaling Great Wall, is one of the world's most awe-inspiring sights, the great Wall snakes along nearly 4000 miles of impossibly steep hills and harsh, rugged plains. Today you will climb Badaling Great Wall in your leisure and marvel at the manpower that went into building the world's longest structure entirely by hand. Stay in hotel 2 nights.

Day 04 Datong (BLD)

Round out your tour with stops at Cloud Ridge Caves, one of four famous Buddhist caves in the country and Huayan Temple

Day 05 Datong - Hohhot - Baotou (BLD)

Embark on a coach to Hohhot, visit Wudangzhao, a famous monastery near Baotou. Stay in hotel 1 night.

Day 06 Baotou - Hohhot (BLD)

Take bus to visit Resonant Sand Gorge, a famous gorge filled to the brim with sand dunes. Go back to Hothot through Yellow River. Round out your tour with stops at Dazhao Temple; Wuta Temple (Five-Pagoda Temple) and old city. Stay in hotel 2 nights.

Day 07 Hohhot (BLD)

Take bus to grass land and visit local Mongolian family.

Day 08 Hohhot - Beijing (BLD)

Embark on a coach to Beijing, enjoy your lunch in Datong. Taste your imperial-style Peking Duck dinner before returning to hotel. Stay in hotel 1 night.

Day 09 Beijing - Hometown (B)

With new insights and found memories of China, you embark on your homebound journey aboard your select airline.
