Shanghai - Changsha - Jishou - Zhangjiajie - Xi'an - -Beijing 13 Days

Day 01 Shanghai (D)

Arrive in Shanghai, the largest and most cosmopolitan city, as modern any in the world. You are greeted on arrival and escorted to your 4-star world-class hotel. Visit Longhua Temple. Stay in hotel 2 nights.

Day 02 Shanghai (BLD)

You have a full-day visit of Yuyuan Garden with its quintessential Chinese zigzag bridges, rockeries, and pavilions; the Qibao Old Town and Nanjing Road, the most famous shopping street in shanghai complete the day at a thrilling show by the Shanghai acrobats.

 
   

Day 03 Shanghai - Changsha (BLD)

This morning in Shanghai is on your own. Take flight to Changsha after lunch. Stay in hotel 1 night.

Day 04 Changsha - Jishou (BLD)

Round out your tour stops at the Provincial Museum and local market. Take overnight train to Jishou.

Day 05 Jishou (BLD)

Arrive in Jishou in the morning and transfer to Fenghuang. Visit Fenghuang old town and take cruise on Tuojiang River. Return to Jishou. Stay in hotel 1 night.

Day 06 Jishou - Zhangjiajie (BLD)

Embark on a coach to zhangjiajie, parts of the Wulingshan mountains in north-western Hunan were set aside in 1982 as nature reserves collectively known as the Wulingyuanfengjingqu (Scenic Area ), encompassing the locations of Zhangjiajie, Tianzishan and Suoxiyu. Zhangjiajie is the best known, and many Chinese refer to this area by that name. On the way you will visit Wangcun Village and Yellow Dragon Cave. Stay in hotel 1 night.

 
   

Day 07 Zhangjiajie (BLD)

Our English-speaking guide will show you around Mt.Tianzishan by cable car, Sightseeing Lift,Ten-mile art Gallery and water Surrounding Four Gates. Take bus back to Zhangjiajie, stay in 4-star hotel 1 night.

Day 08 Zhangjiajie (BLD)

You will take cable car to visit Huangshizhai Valley, Six Strange Tower, Dinghaishenzhen and the Golden Whip Stream. This afternoon is on your own. Fly to Xi'an, a vital center of history, culture and archaeology. It is impossible to overstate Xi'an's importance in China's history. Here began the fabled Silk Road, here a string of dynasties made their capital, here a Neolithic culture built a village 6000 years ago, and here lies a highlight of your trip: the excavation site of 8000terra-cotta soldiers and horses, buried around the tomb of emperor Qinshihuangdi, builder of the Great Wall and other massive endeavors. Stay in hotel for 2 nights.

Day 09 Xi'an (BLD)

Round out your tour with stops at the Museum of Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses of Qinshihuangdi and Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Day 10 Xi'an (BLD)

Round out your tour with stops at Shaanxi History Museum, enjoy the brilliant history and 3000 exquisite historical relics in the museum and 600 years old City Wall. Take overnight train to Beijing, the capital and cultural center of China, where virtually every boulevard and building exudes an air of importance.

Day 11 Beijing (BLD)

 

 

 


Arrive in Beijing in the morning, guide will pick you up at platform of railway station and transfer to hotel for your fine breakfast. Today you will enjoy the sprawling Forbidden City, home to 24 Ming and Qing emperors and now a repository of precious art and antiques; Tiananmen Square, the largest man-made square in the world and the Temple of Heaven. Stay in hotel 2 nights.

 
   

 

Day 12 Beijing (BLD)

Enjoy a full-day tour of the sights that make Beijing a spectacular destination: The Summer Palace, an oasis of tea gardens,pavilions, painted corridors, and shimmering Kunming Lake with Empress Dowager's eccentric marble boat. Badaling Great Wall, is one of the world's most awe-inspiring sights, the great Wall snakes along nearly 4000 miles of impossibly steep hills and harsh, rugged plains. Today you will climb Badaling Great Wall in your leisure and marvel at the manpower that went into building the world's longest structure entirely by hand. Taste your imperial-style Peking Duck dinner before returning to hotel.

Day 13 Beijing - Hometown (B)

 
   

With new insights and found memories of China, you embark on your homebound journey aboard your select airline.
