Shanghai - Lhasa - Xi'an - Beijing  18 Days

Day 01 Shanghai (D)

Arrive in Shanghai, the largest and most cosmopolitan city, as modern any in the world. You are greeted on arrival and transfer to hotel for check-in. Round out your tour with stops at the riverfront Bund where foreign traders left a legacy of European-style buildings and Nanjing Road, the most famous shopping street in Shanghai. Stay in hotel 2 nights.  ***Hotel  

Day 02 Shanghai (B.L.D)

You have a full-day visit of Yuyuan Garden with its quintessential Chinese zigzag bridges, rockeries, and pavilions, Chinese Tea Garden and Longhua Temple. 

Day 03 Shanghai - Lhasa (B.L)

This morning you will visit Jinmao Tower. After lunch you will take train T164/165(20:08~21:00)
To Lhasa, literally meaning "Holy-Land", is the heart and soul of Tibet, has history of more than 1,300 years.

Day 04-Day 06 On the Train (Meals Uncluded)

You spend about 52 hours on the train, enjoy the beautiful view on the way to Lhasa. Arrive in Lhasa at 19:50. Our English speaking guide will pick you up at railway station and transfer to the hotel.  ***Hotel

Day 07 Lhasa (B)

Today is on your own. For long time on the train, you have a good rest in the hotel, then you can walk around in the Lhasa city, seeing unique Tibetan streets, houses, restaurants, grassland, etc.

Day 08 Lhasa (B.L.D)

You will visit Jokhang Temple, Eight Angles Street and Drepung Monastery.

Day 09 Lhasa (B.L.D)

You will visit Potala Palace, the most imposing attraction of Lhasa, Sera Monastery and Norbu Lingka.

Day 10 Lhasa (B.L.D)

Round out your tour with stops at Ganden Monastry and Tibetan Hospital. 

Day 11 Lhasa –Xi'an (B)

You will take train T266/263(08:32-21:35) to Xi'an.

Day 12 Xi'an

Arrive in Xi'an at 21:35, a vital center of history, culture and archaeology.It is impossible to overstate Xi'an's importance in China's history. Here began the fabled Silk Road, here a string of dynasties made theircapital, here a Neolithic culture built a village 6000 years ago, and here lies a highlight of your trip: the excavation site of 8000terra-cotta soldiers and horses, buried around the tomb of emperor Qinshihuangdi, builder of the Great Wall and other massive endeavors. You are greeted on arrival and transfer to hotel for check-in. ***Hotel

Day 13 Xi'an (B.L.D)

Round out your tour with stops at the Museum of Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses of Qinshihuangdi and Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built by pilgrim monk Xuanzang in the Tang Dynasty 1400 years ago.

Day 14 Xi'an - Beijing(B.L.D)

This morning you have tour to the Great Mosque in the downtown, one of the most famous mosques in the country. You can appreciate combination of the Chinese and Islamic temple and Chinese traditional furniture of Qing Dynasty and Shaanxi History Museum, enjoy the brilliant history and 372,000 exquisite historical relics in the museum. Then take overnight train Z20 (19:23 -06:53) to Beijing. 

Day 15 Beijing (B.L.D)

Arrive in Beijing, the capital and cultural center of China, where virtually every boulevard and building exudes an air of importance. Transfer on arrival to your hotel. Round out your tour with stops at The Summer Palace, an oasis of tea gardens, pavilions, painted corridors, and shimmering Kunming Lake with Empress Dowager's eccentric marble boat.  Stay in hotel 3 nights. ***Hotel

 

 

 

 

Day 16 Beijing (B.L.D)

Today you will enjoy the sprawling Forbidden City, home to 24 Ming and Qing emperors and now a repository of precious art and antiques; Tiananmen Square, the largest man-made square in the world and the Temple of Heaven.

Day 17 Beijing (B.L.D)

Enjoy a full-day tour of the sights that make Beijing a spectacular destination: Badaling Great Wall, one of the world's most awe-inspiring sights, the great Wall snakes along nearly 4000 miles of impossibly steep hills and harsh, rugged plains. Today you will climb Badaling Great Wall in your leisure and marvel at the manpower that went into building the world's longest structure entirely by hand and Hutong Tour, seeing the real people's life of Beijing.

Day 18 Beijing - Hometown (B)

Visit Beijing Zoo after breakfast. With new insights and found memories of China, you embark on your homebound journey aboard your select airline.
