Shanghai - Wuhan - Yangtze River Cruise - Chongqing - Xi'an - Beijing 13 Days

Day 01 Shanghai (D)

Arrive in Shanghai, the largest and most cosmopolitan city, as modern any in the world. You are greeted on arrival and escorted to your 4-star world-class hotel. Round out your tour with stops at Nanjing Road, the most famous shopping street in Shanghai and the riverfront Bund where foreign traders left a legacy of European-style buildings Stay in hotel 2 nights.

 
 

Day 02 Shanghai (BLD)

You have a full-day visit of Yuyuan Garden with its quintessential Chinese zigzag bridges, rockeries, and pavilions and Jade Buddha Temple complete the day at a thrilling show by the Shanghai acrobats.

Day03 Shanghai - Wuhan (BLD)

Fly to Wuhan in the morning. Wuhan is the provincial capital of Hubei, located in the center of the central part of China and eastern Hubei, where the Han River joins the Changjiang River. Our English Speaking guide will meet you in the airport. Visit the Provincial Museum and Guiyuan Temple. Stay in your world-class 4-star hotel 1 night.

Day 04 Wuhan - Yichang (BLD)

Embark on the coach to Yichang. Visit the Jinzhou Museum on the way to the boat. Get on your cruise ship and settle into your stateroom and enjoy your dinner on board.

Day 05 - Day 07 The Three Gorges Tour (BLD)

Visit the Three Gorges dam in the morning. Then pass the ship lock and continue on the cruise. Sail on through the Xiling Gorge. Tonight the captain hosts a welcome dinner on board. You will take the shore excursion to Shennong Stream or Little Three Gorges. Continue this afternoon through Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge and see the fabled Twelve Peaks. Take shore excursion to Fengdu, the “Ghost City” or Shibaozhai.

Day 08 Chongqing - Xi'an (BLD)

Arrive in Chongqing in the morning, known as Ba in ancient times, is located in Southwest China. It is also known as a city of oven, mountains and fog. Visit the Eling Park and the Grand Auditorium following disembarkation. Take flight to Xi'an, a vital center of history, culture and archaeology. It is impossible to overstate Xi'an's importance in China's history. Here began the fabled Silk Road, here a string of dynasties made their capital, here a Neolithic culture built a village 6000 years ago, and here lies a highlight of your trip: the excavation site of 8000terra-cotta soldiers and horses, buried around the tomb of emperor Qinshihuangdi, builder of the Great Wall and other massive endeavors. Stay in 4-star hotel 2 nights.

Day 09 Xi'an (BLD)

Round out your tour with stops at the Museum of Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses of Qinshihuangdi and the Park of City Wall in Ming Dynasty.

Day 10 Xi'an - Beijing (BLD)

Round out your tour with stops at Old Town and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Take overnight train to Beijing, the capital and cultural center of China, where virtually every boulevard and building exudes an air of importance.

Day 11 Beijing (BLD)

Arrive in Beijing in the morning and transfer on arrival to your 4-star hotel. Today you will enjoy the sprawling Forbidden City, home to 24 Ming and Qing emperors and now a repository of precious art and antiques; Tiananmen Square, the largest man-made square in the world and the Temple of Heaven. Stay in hotel 2 nights.

Day 12 Beijing (BLD)

Enjoy a full-day tour of the sights that make Beijing a spectacular destination: The Summer Palace, an oasis of tea gardens, pavilions, painted corridors, and shimmering Kunming Lake with Empress Dowager's eccentric marble boat. Badaling Great Wall, one of the world's most awe-inspiring sights, the great Wall snakes along nearly 4000 miles of impossibly steep hills and harsh, rugged plains. Today you will climb Badaling Great Wall in your leisure and marvel at the manpower that went into building the world's longest structure entirely by hand. You will have Hutong tour in your leisure, enjoy the view of local people's life in Beijing. The tour is not included in your schedule trip.

Day 13 Beijing - Hometown (B)

With new insights and found memories of China, you embark on your homebound journey aboard your select airline.

The trip price includes:
