Qingdao is a picturesque coastal city that lies on the southern tip of China Shandong Peninsula, located in JiaoZhou Bay facing the Yellow Sea. It has 7 urban districts and 5 county-level cities under its jurisdiction with a total area of 10,654 square kilometers. 。。。。。。
The main buildings of Little Fish Hill include Lan Chao ge (Tide Viewing Pavilion), Yong Cui Ting (Green Groue Embedded Pavilion) and Bi Bo Ting (Pavilion for Viewing Blue Ripples) and also provides stunning views of bathing beach.
Mt. Lao is considered to be the Second Monastery of the Taoist Quanzhen Sect in the world. It is situated in the south part of Shandong peninsula and northeast of Qingdao urban area. The area has an annual average temperature of 12.6 degree centigrade and precipitation between 940 to 1073 millimeters, the most humid part of Qingdao City. The area consists of 9 scenic sites and 5 resumed scenic sites as well as coastal scenic sites. There are altogether 220 places of interest around a mountainous. The highest peak of Mt. Laoshan is the 1133-meter Jufeng, the highest one along the 18000-kilometer coast of China. In ancient times, the emperors of Qin and Han dynasties climbed the mountain to seek immortals.
Small Qingdao Island used to be an isolated island about 720 meters (787 yards) off shore but in the 1940s a seawall was built, now connecting it to the mainland. The island is shaped like a qin (an ancient Chinese musical instrument), and when the waves slap the shoreline, the sound is similar to that of the instrument being played, leading to its local name of Qin Island. It is famous for its unspoiled natural scenery including steep rocky outcrops, and a variety of trees, such as cherries, pomegranates and hibiscus.
