Wuhan is the capital of Hubei province, and is the most populous city in central People s Republic of China. It lies at the east of Jianghan Plain, and the intersection of the middle reaches of the Yangtze and Han River. 。。。。。。
First built in the early Qing dynasty (1644-1911) by two monks named Baiguang and Zhufeng on the base of sunflower garden owned by a poet, the temple got its name from Buddhist chants: with purity kept in mind, one has the thoroughfare everywhere. Guiyuan temple has survived through more than 300 hundred years of repeated cycles of prosperity and decline, above all else, it is always leading the other temple in Wuhan with prosperous public worship, flourishing Buddhist ceremony and many pilgrims.
The ancient Guqin Terrace is also called Boya Terrace, it lies in Wuhan Qintai management department, Guishan to its east, Moon Lake to its north, it has beautiful landscapes, it is also a well-known musical and cultural relic in Wuhan, it is a nice place fore leisure and tourist.
One of the most famous and impressive attractions in Wuhan is the Hubei Provincial Museum. Standing by the beautiful East Lake, it was opened in 1956 to showcase some of Hubeis incredible archaeological finds. The museum is built on a massive scale. It covers an area of more than 51,000 square meters and has over 9,000 square meters of floor space. A 170-strong staff team makes sure that everything runs smoothly.
Qingchuan Pavilion is located on Yugong Ji which is on the cast foot of Hill Gui, at the north bank of Changjiang River , opposite the Yellow Crane Tower . The famous Tower and Pavilion sited face to face, provides a scene along the River. The ancient Qingchuan Pavilion was first built between 1522 A . D. to 1567 A .D., Was ruined several time in a fate similar to that of the Yellow Crane Tower . The present building was rebuilt in 1983.
The Yangtze Bridge Wuhan has 8 piers and 9 holes. It is divided into two levels with the upper one for bus transit and the lower for trains. The driveway is 18 meters (59feet) wide for 6 buses to run parallel.
The Yellow Crane Tower was first built in 223 A .D . and was destroyed and rebuilt time and again throughout history. The whole compound consists of the main tower, side pavilions, corridors, memorial archways, corridors of tablets with poem inscriptions and business streets of ancient style. The main tower, 51.4 meters in height, is of five stores, each with extended upturned eaves. At its back is the four-storied White Cloud Tower, 29.7 meters in height. The two towers
