Yungang Grottoes. Datong . China
Located at the southern foot of Wuzhou Mountain some 16 kilometers west from Datong City, Shanxi Province, contain the largest and earliest stone sculpture of China, Yungang Grottoes were built against the mountain and extend about 1 kilometer (0.62 miles) from east to west. These are known as one of the three major grottoes in China.
